OK SO ... here's the story behind this piece; the contest theme is "inspired by you", right? So at first, I was totally going to design my own cool dragon that was inspired by the dodge dart. But then, after looking thru all of the other digital art entries, I saw that a lot of entrants had done something similar. Like... made the car into a person or something. SO I came up with a whole new concept, and that included not only a badass dragon but a whole story line to go with it.

It's pretty easy to understand. Basically, this is a dragon and his buddy the dragon tamer. They've been together for ages and stuff because he's a dragon tamer and he's a dragon and they live in this great fantasy land with cities that don't believe in glass windows. And only use one colour scheme for every building... Anyways, the dragon tamer ends up coming across this dodge dart and totally makes it his new ride and his best friend, the dragon, is a jealous lizard. In this scene, the dragon tamer is probably yelling something like "OI, get off the hood, you're gonna dent it!" and the dragon is thinking Pff whatever, leather interior. I bet it can't fly. I can fly.

ER WELL I reallllyyy hope you guys like this piece and I reeeallllyyyyy hope I can win because... that's the point LOL. I'd love some constructive crit, if you're willing to give it.

This is a pretty cool picture. I love the dragon and the person's expressions. The only thing that it lacks is something in the waste land around the castle. Maybe trees, small houses, a body of water, or something like. It needs something. I really like it though. You are very good a painting on photoshop. If you would like to, would you check my entry out. It's not as good as yours, but it's fine. I hope you do well in the contest.

haha lol just noticed he's scratching the car too!

the shadow under the car seems somewhat lighter than it should
there isn't a lot of shading in the town I noticed
all together you've given me even more to work to
I'm taking VCD(Visual Communication Designs- a graphic arts course at SV)and I'm learning to do this, actually I do have some artwork that I did in class
