EDIT OK WOW I made it to the semifinalists x7x this has never happened before and I'm really excited!!!

OK SO. The premise behind this picture is that it's deviantart's 11th birthday! The same age that young wizards and witches get their letters to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

So here is fella getting his letter just like the scene in the first movie.

WOW I really want to win this contest or get in 2nd or 3rd or SOMETHING because I really really want that iPad. Like seriously. I mean, a tablet would be nice, but I really want that iPad xD;;

I browsed a lot of the entries before drawing this, and I saw a lot of the same thing! Like... a lot of dolphins and water scenes and a lot of the grimm reaper. I also saw that most people used the three scribbles on the same plane like... there was no depth. So that was one thing I made sure to do.

A big thanks to the two beautiful artists who create the Teahouse Comic! They're amazingly drawn backgrounds inspired me to put more detail and effort in there
